Boulder, CO --EndoShape, Inc. (ESI) is pleased to announce the close of its Series B financing. Volcano Capital and High Country Venture participated in the financing. “We are very excited to be working with both of these groups. They have excellent track records and substantial experience working with medical device companies” said Bill Aldrich, EndoShape’s CEO.
ESI will use these funds to develop medical devices based on its novel Shape Memory Polymer (SMP). ESI licensed the SMP technology from the University of Colorado (CU). Robin Shandas, Ph. D., ESI’s founder and the Chair of UC Denver's Department of Bioengineering, further states “This investment is a great step in commercializing our SMP technology. We believe there are many clinical applications for SMP devices and we are excited to be working with Volcano Capital and High Country in pursuing these opportunities.
